Thank you for registering for Spring Baseball 2019 at Manatee Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth Baseball at Heritage Harbour! Below is a brief schedule of events for the spring season. Dates and times are subject to change and will be communicated accordingly.
December 9th - Registration opens online
Week of January 6th – Board of Directors meeting, time, place, date TBA
January 11th-13th - Walk-up registration at Heritage Harbour Concession Stand (700 River Heritage Blvd, Bradenton, 34212)
January 12th - Field maintenance day starting at 8:00AM. Volunteers needed!
January 19th - Evaluations for Rookies, Minors, Majors, & Babe Ruth* Divisions. Parents meetings for ALL age levels. Arrive 15 minutes early of evaluation time for parents meeting
January 20th -Late registration starts online for Cal Ripken divisions (manatee.baberuthonline.com) until teams are filled or as indicated by league. Late fee may apply. Regular Babe Ruth registration to remain open.
Week of January 21st – Cal Ripken families notified of team assignment. Coaches may hold first practices
Weekend of February 9th-10th – Field clean-up in preparation for Opening Day! Volunteers needed!
February 16th – Cal Ripken Opening Day! Babe Ruth Opening Day may be delayed due to high school baseball
March 2nd or 9th– Hold for Picture Day!
March 25th-29th – Manatee County Schools Spring Break!
May 6th – Playoffs begin for Rookies, Minors, Majors, & Babe Ruth*
May 12th – Championship Saturday! (Regular season finale for T-ball/Coach Pitch; Championships for Rookies, Minors, Majors & Babe Ruth*; All Star Games for Rookies, Minors, Majors, & Babe Ruth) (In the event of a rainout, championship games will be played on the soonest available date starting May 14th.)
Week of May 13th – Competitive All Stars begin
*Babe Ruth division activities may be delayed due to the number high school players interested in playing, but restricted due to high school requirements. Babe Ruth players also interested in playing high school baseball should register, attend evaluations, and be assigned to a team during the registration/evaluation period, play with their high school team, then join their Babe Ruth team following the high school season. Official dates for Babe Ruth will be communicated to those coaches/teams as they are set.
If you chose to "play up" into the Rookies division or higher, please note you MUST attend tryouts to be evaluated. You must provide a written request to the league with prior coach recommendation. "Play up" requests are not valid until approved by the league president, division commissioner, & coaches.
